Richard Bandey’s gelding certainly caught the eye on his last outing, absolutely bolting up to secure a convincing victory. This latest success follows a truly progressive run of form; from finishing seventh, then third, he’s now found the winning post – a clear indication he’s truly found his rhythm and is hitting his stride. That upward trajectory of 7 → 3 → 1 is exactly what we like to see in an improving hurdler.

With Harry Bannister retaining the ride, a jockey who clearly gets on well with the horse, and an Official Rating of 98, **Desert Halo** still looks to be well-handicapped and capable of further progression. The EVS price reflects the confidence surrounding his chances, and we believe it’s a justified quote for a horse on the up.

For those seeking an each-way alternative, **Bongo Man** makes plenty of appeal. He’s been running consistently and is more than capable of picking up a place should our main fancy not deliver. However, we're sticking with Desert Halo to continue his winning ways.
